While we’re based in Ohio and Los Angeles, CA, we welcome volunteers from other states who are interested in making a difference. Don't hesitate to reach out!

What?
So what does a puppy raiser do? You can help us transform lives by joining our mission to pair trained service dogs with those in need, fostering greater independence. Every service dog’s journey begins as a puppy in need of a loving home. By volunteering as a puppy raiser, you have the opportunity to make a profound impact, enabling children and adults with disabilities to lead more independent lives.
Puppy raisers work directly with the Cosmos Training Director to provide love and care for the puppy placed with them. Puppy raisers teach house manners, basic obedience, and socialize the dogs in a variety of environments to help them prepare for life as a service dog.
